Daisetsuzan
Daisetsuzan is a group of eight volcanic mountains in Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan. This group of volcanoes falls within the borders of Daisetsuzan National Park, the largest National Park in Japan, and the volcanic group is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area encircling the Pacific Ocean basin that has frequent volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
Within Daisetsuzan, Asahidake is great for hiking since there are options for beginners and advanced explorers alike. Wildlife, such as brown bears and deer, can sometimes be seen.
